Why did you choose to come to Moravian College?
I chose Moravian because of the strong sense of community that embodies the school, and all of the people that make this such a great place to be..
What is your major (minor if applicable) at Moravian and how did you decide on it?
I chose to become a history major because of my love for the subject. I really enjoy learning about ancient civilizations and the way people used to live, learn, and viewed things like religion and nature. Societies are constantly changing over the course of history, and I think it is fascinating to study that change.
What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?
My favorite course at Moravian was African Civilizations with Dr. Keim because we explored a topic that was totally foreign to me. I thought it was really interesting to discover new ideas about a continent that often goes untouched in typical American history classrooms.
What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?
Once I graduate from Moravian, I plan to attend grad school and get my MBA, hopefully with a focus in management. I would love to wind up working for a company in the sports industry.
What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?
I don’t think I could name just one moment as my most memorable as a hound. The experiences I’ve shared, all of the bus rides, the practice rounds, and the time I’ve spent with my teammates over the past four years are what I will always remember.
How has being an athlete helped you as a student?
I think most importantly, being an athlete has forced me to create very strong time management skills. I have each and every day planned out so I can ensure I have enough time to get everything done and get enough sleep so I stay rested and in my peak physical and mental condition.
What is the hardest part of your sport?
I think the hardest moment in golf to come back from is when you think you’ve hit a perfect shot and something that you never foresaw going wrong does. It takes away all of the adrenaline that you just built up, and definitely makes the next shot that much more of a test.
What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?
If I could give any advice to a prospective student-athlete, I would tell them to make sure that the academic programs at that college fit them and will highlight their strengths. Also, I would tell them to make sure that they feel at home with their coaches and teammates because they will be spending a lot of time with those people.
