Camille McPherson '17 M '19 selected to All-Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Moravian College graduate student Camille McPherson has been selected to the 2018 Women's Basketball All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

McPherson, who was selected to the All-Region Second Team for the second consecutive, helped guide the Greyhounds to a 17-9 mark and a berth in the Landmark Conference Semifinals. McPherson was honored on the Landmark All-Conference First Team in February for the second straight year after being a Second Team pick in 2016. She is a two-time member of the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Team of the Year and has been a finalist for the Jostens Trophy for the last two winters.

McPherson paced the Hounds in scoring at 16.6 points per game, completing her career eighth in school history with 1,427 points and first all-time with an 18.1-point per game scoring average. McPherson also grabbed a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game, and she finished 16th all-time with 559 career rebounds in just 79 games with the Blue and Grey. McPherson contributed 53 assists, 39 three-pointers, 14 steals and seven blocked shots this winter while shooting 83.9 percent at the foul line (94-of-112), 43.6 percent from the floor (133-of-305) and 35.5 percent beyond the arc (39-of-110).

"This is another recognition for Camille and well deserved," commented Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk. "Her relentless pursuit of excellence on the court was rewarded. I know that she would be the first to recognize her teammates and coaches, and that is what makes Camille such a terrific player. She established herself not only as a scorer but also a tenacious rebounder. Congratulations to Camille."
