BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team competed in its second consecutive home meet as the Hounds hosted the annual Greyhound Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field Friday and Saturday.
Freshman Carly Danoski won the 800-meter run in an ECAC qualifying time of 2:19.07 to lead the women's squad that had seven ECAC qualifiers.
Senior Lauren White was tenth in the 100-meter dash preliminaries in a time of 13.07 seconds. Sophomore Anna Osman took ninth in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.53 Moravian's 4x100-meter relay squad of White, sophomores Amari Schooler and Abigail Strouse and freshman Lily Cooper was third in an ECAC qualifying time of 49.30 seconds.
Freshman Rachel Mikols placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 12:56.19 while junior Kirsten Lebo was fourth in 13:04.40. Freshman Katie Mayer placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run on 4:54.59 while freshman Ashley Rohrer was seventh in the 5,000-meter run in 19:28.83.
Junior Mary Kate Duncan was the runner-up in the javelin with an ECAC qualifying toss of 45.31 meters (148-8) while junior Nicole Capuano took sixth at an ECAC qualifying distance of 38.72 meters (127-0). Junior Trista Cunningham finished eighth in the discus with a toss of 34.40 meters (112-10).
Junior Casie Cronk finished tied for third in the high jump with an ECAC qualifying height of 1.60 meters (5-3) while junior Beth Ann Davies placed sixth in the pole vault with an ECAC qualifying height of 3.20 meters (10-6). Junior Melissa Cheong was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 5.19 meters (17-0.5) while senior Kiara Bright was ninth in the triple jump at 10.47 meters (34-4.25).
In action Friday evening, Jackie Finnegan placed fifth in the hammer throw with an ECAC qualifying toss of 44.29 meters (145-4) while junior Maggie Heft was sixth at 41.41 meters (135-10) and Cunningham finished eighth with a toss of 38.81 meters (127-4). Senior Larissa Strycharz was the runner-up in the 10,000 meters in 42:11.86.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 22 at the Misericrodia University Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
