BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College is continuing its look back at its 2018-19 athletic campaign. The final event in the Top 10 Exciting Games from the past year is our No. 1 highlight – the baseball team walking off with a 1-0, 10-inning win over The Catholic University of America in the opening round of the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships on a solo home run by senior Austin Markowski.

170 Greyhounds Earn Dean's List Honors for Spring 2019 Semester

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation had 170 of its student-athletes receive Dean’s List honors from the College for achieving a 3.50 or higher grade-point average during the 2019 Spring semester.

Senior student-athletes from each of the programs that compete in the Landmark Conference present the Presidents' Trophy to Moravian College President Bryon L. Grigsby '90 at the annual Senior Athletic Banquet on May 8 after the Greyhounds had clinched the trophy for a second straight year.

TOWSON, Md. --- After the completion of the spring season, Moravian College claimed the top spot to lead the Landmark Presidents’ Trophy standings. The Greyhounds earned three spring titles.

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has named 74 student-athletes including nine from Moravian College to the 2019 Spring All-Sportsmanship Team. The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has announced its 2019 Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, which recognized 81 student-athletes from Moravian College. The honorees were selected from all eight Landmark Conference institutions with a total of 593 student-athletes.

TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College baseball team has had six players earn seven honors on the 2019 Landmark Baseball All-Conference Teams led by senior Evan Kulig, who was named to the All-Conference First Team both as a starting pitcher and as a first baseman.

Brendon Caraway, Tyler Caraway, Joey Ferolie, Tim Heard, Rhett Jacoby, Andrew Koenig, Evan Kulig, Steve Lazicki, Austin Markowski, Mike Mittl, Chase Rogers, Billy Roethke and Kevin Shields receive their degrees in a special graduation ceremony on Borhek Chapel.

SCRANTON, Pa. --- The second seeded Moravian College baseball team dropped a winner’s bracket game to top seed Susquehanna University, 5-2, before defeating third seed The Catholic University of America, 3-1, in the final elimination game of the 2019 Landmark Conference Tournament at The University of Scranton on Saturday.

SCRANTON, Pa. --- The second seeded Moravian College baseball team posted a 1-0 victory over third seed The Catholic University of America on a walk-off, on-out home run by senior center fielder Austin Markowski being hosted by The University of Scranton at Volpe Field on the Quinn Athletics Campus Friday evening.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2019 senior student-athletes at the annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet Wednesday night in Johnston Hall. Softball standout Kat Spilman was named the Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while men’s basketball player Oneil Holder was honored with the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete award. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to women’s soccer student-athlete Paige Kovacs and football player Nick Zambelli. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented to Terry Eddinger and Marty Jo Moyle.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Freshman outfielder Robert Roman connected on a two-out, two-RBI walk-off single to cap a three-run ninth inning rally to give the Moravian College baseball team a 9-8 non-conference victory over visiting Messiah College Thursday afternoon in a contest that lasted just over four hours.
