HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field squad captured nine event titles in the non-scoring Juniata College Invitational Saturday in the Greyhounds’ final tune-up before the 2021 Landmark Conference Championships.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field squad was second of six teams at the Coach P Invitational Saturday at Timothy Breidegam Track. The Greyhounds, who had five event wins, scored 186 points while Kutztown University of Pennsylvania was first with 235 points.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field squad finished first of six schools in the annual Greyhound Invitational Saturday at Timothy Breidegam Track with a team total of 235 points while The University of Scranton was second with 141 points.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation welcomed 71 student-athletes into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, in the Greyhounds’ fourth year with the organization Thursday in Johnston Hall.

TOWSON, Md. – Effective for all games (regular and postseason) scheduled on Monday, April 5 and later, the Landmark Conference Presidents Council that individual member institutions will have the autonomy to adjust and set their spectator policy for home contests. ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field squad placed second of five teams at the Elizabethtown College Early Bird Opener Saturday as the Hounds started their 2021 campaign. The Greyhounds totaled 164 points while Susquehanna University took first with 170.5 points.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams are scheduled to start their 2021 season on Saturday, March 27 at the Elizabethtown College Early Bird Opener with action beginning at 9:30 a.m.

TOWSON, Md. – After a scheduled meeting of the Landmark Conference Presidents Council, the council agreed to maintain the current ‘no spectator policy’ in place for all Landmark contests through Sunday, April 4.

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has named 44 student-athletes including four from Moravian College to the 2020-21 Winter All-Sportsmanship Team. The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is women's track & field student-athlete Jenevieve Eberly from the Class of 2021. Eberly won the 2019 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.87 seconds, and she was third in the triple jump, fourth in the long jump and fourth in 400-meter hurdles in the same meet.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is women's track & field student-athlete Crystal Robinson from the Class of 2023. Robinson was named the Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year in 2020 at her first conference championship as she won the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes and helped the Greyhounds win the 4x400-meter relay. She was also the runner-up in the 60-meter dash as the Greyhounds captured another Landmark Conference Indoor title.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is field hockey and women's track & field student-athlete Emily Wells from the Class of 2023. Wells has scored five goals and an assists in 17 matches on the field hockey turf, and she helped the women's indoor 4x200-meter relay team finish third in the 2020 Landmark Conference Indoor Championships on the track.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former women's track & field student-athlete Mary Kate Duncan from the Class of 2018. Duncan won the 2017 NCAA Division III National Championship in the javelin in 2017, and she earned All-America honors three times in the event with a third place in 2018 and a fourth place in 2016 to go with her win. Duncan was also a two-time Academic All-American selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the 2018 Landmark Conference Women's Track & Field Outdoor Senior Scholar-Athlete, the 2018 Landmark Conference champion in the javelin after runner-up finishes in 2016 and 2017. She also captured the ECAC Division III title twice in the javelin.

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference Presidents’ Council has approved a plan to conduct collegiate competition in fall and spring sports during the 2021 spring semester. As consistent with all decisions at the conference level, the safety and well-being of student-athletes remains the primary goal of the Landmark Conference.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation had 188 of its student-athletes receive Dean’s Honors List accolades from the College for achieving a 3.50 or higher grade-point average during the 2020 Fall semester.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next coach in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Coach series is Assistant Men's and Women's Track & Field Coach Jonathan D'Ottavio, who is in his eighth year with the Greyhounds. D'Ottavio coaches all the throwing events for the Hounds and he assists with the cross country teams during the fall.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former women's track & field student-athlete Brielle Sutter from the Class of 2015. Sutter helped the Greyhounds win four indoor and four outdoor Landmark Conference Championships, and she was an 11-time Landmark champion in relays and individual events. Sutter also competed in the 2013 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation is starting a new series to give an in-depth look into former student-athletes each Friday. We begin the series with women's cross country and track student-athlete Emily Shertzer '02. Shertzer was inducted into the Moravian Hall of Fame in 2013, and she was a four-time All-American during her career.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation is starting a new series to give an in-depth look into current student-athletes each Monday. We begin the series with women's cross country and track student-athlete Natalie Novotni '21. Novotni is the two-time defending Landmark Conference Women's Cross Country Champion having won the meet in 2018 and 2019, and she has a total of seven Landmark All-Conference selections during her career.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The annual Moravian College Athletics Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony scheduled for Friday, October 9th has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The class of 2020 will be inducted a year later on Friday, October 8, 2021.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation is starting a new series to give an in-depth look into the members of the coaching staff each Tuesday. We begin the series with Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Jesse Baumann, who is in his tenth year with the Greyhounds and has guided his programs to 36 Landmark Conference titles while earning Landmark Conference Coach of the Year honors 27 times since arriving at Moravian.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2020 senior student-athletes with its Senior Athletics Award video that debuted on Sunday, August 16. Women’s basketball standout Maddie Capuano and women’s track & field/cross country runner Carly Danoski were named the Co-Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while baseball player Ian Csencsits and men’s track & field/cross country runner Greg Jaindl were honored with the Co-Outstanding Senior Male Athletes. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to Danoski and football player Sal Pagano.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Michael Abbate ’02; Stephen Brandafi ’40; Beresford “Ozzie” Brown ’10; Anna Heim Hilton ’10; Elizabeth Paly ’08; Stephanie Seaman Kennedy ’06 and Nathaniel Tussey ’08 make up the class of 2021 that will be inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2007-08 men and women’s track & field teams will also be inducted while Jon Otis ’79 will receive the Robert Martin Herbstman Award.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Today, Moravian College announced that in the absence of a fall sports schedule, in both the Landmark Conference and Centennial Conference (football), the Athletic Department will work with other colleges and universities to schedule scrimmages for teams and players interested in competing in their respective sports.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation will celebrate the accomplishments of their 2020 senior class with a virtual celebration on Sunday, August 16 with the Senior Athlete Awards show as a video beginning at 6:00 p.m. The banquet, which is typically hosted in May, was postponed because of COVID-19 and due to the continued pandemic has been moved to a virtual event.

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic Athletes and All-Academic Teams for the 2020 NCAA Division III Women’s Track & Field season including the Moravian College women’s track & field team and graduating senior Carly Danoski on Thursday.
