HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team saw 17-point lead early in the second half get cut to three points with just over two and a half minutes to go before the Greyhounds connected on seven free throws in the final minute to post a 68-57 Landmark Conference victory at Juniata College Friday evening as the Hounds improved to 2-0 on the year and won their conference opener.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is women's basketball student-athlete Kayla Yoegel '22. Yoegel has seen action in 43 games for the Greyhounds in her first two seasons with the program, and she has contributed 208 points, 134 rebounds, 31 steals, 31 blocked shots and 25 assists. Yoegel was also named to the Landmark Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll last year.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former women's basketball student-athlete Kate Harrison from the Class of 2010. Harrison was named the Landmark All-Conference First Team as a junior and senior and the Second Team as a sophomore. She scored 1,134 points in her career, which is currently 18th in program history.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The annual Moravian College Athletics Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony scheduled for Friday, October 9th has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The class of 2020 will be inducted a year later on Friday, October 8, 2021.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- During the summer of 2020, Moravian College replaced the bleachers in Johnston Hall with 756 seats with backs including a new VIP seating section with 45 seats and a total seating capacity of 998. In addition to the new seating, the floor in Johnston Hall was updated to add the new three-point line for men's basketball.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2020 senior student-athletes with its Senior Athletics Award video that debuted on Sunday, August 16. Women’s basketball standout Maddie Capuano and women’s track & field/cross country runner Carly Danoski were named the Co-Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while baseball player Ian Csencsits and men’s track & field/cross country runner Greg Jaindl were honored with the Co-Outstanding Senior Male Athletes. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to Danoski and football player Sal Pagano.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Michael Abbate ’02; Stephen Brandafi ’40; Beresford “Ozzie” Brown ’10; Anna Heim Hilton ’10; Elizabeth Paly ’08; Stephanie Seaman Kennedy ’06 and Nathaniel Tussey ’08 make up the class of 2021 that will be inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2007-08 men and women’s track & field teams will also be inducted while Jon Otis ’79 will receive the Robert Martin Herbstman Award.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation will celebrate the accomplishments of their 2020 senior class with a virtual celebration on Sunday, August 16 with the Senior Athlete Awards show as a video beginning at 6:00 p.m. The banquet, which is typically hosted in May, was postponed because of COVID-19 and due to the continued pandemic has been moved to a virtual event.
