170 Greyhounds Earn Dean's List Honors for Spring 2019 Semester

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation had 170 of its student-athletes receive Dean’s List honors from the College for achieving a 3.50 or higher grade-point average during the 2019 Spring semester.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College is going to take a look back at its 2018-19 athletic campaign over the next eight weeks with a pair of top 10 lists voted on by the athletic administration. The first list starting today will be the Top 10 Exciting Games from the past year with a look at our No. 10 highlight – the women’s tennis team defeating Cairn University, 5-0, for the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament victory.

Senior student-athletes from each of the programs that compete in the Landmark Conference present the Presidents' Trophy to Moravian College President Bryon L. Grigsby '90 at the annual Senior Athletic Banquet on May 8 after the Greyhounds had clinched the trophy for a second straight year.

TOWSON, Md. --- After the completion of the spring season, Moravian College claimed the top spot to lead the Landmark Presidents’ Trophy standings. The Greyhounds earned three spring titles.

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has named 74 student-athletes including nine from Moravian College to the 2019 Spring All-Sportsmanship Team. The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has announced its 2019 Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, which recognized 81 student-athletes from Moravian College. The honorees were selected from all eight Landmark Conference institutions with a total of 593 student-athletes.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. --- The Moravian College women’s tennis team saw its 2018-19 season come to a close on Saturday in the Second Round of the 2019 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament as the Greyhounds fell to No. 3 and regional host Middlebury (Vt.) College, 5-0.

Hounds Blank Cairn in First Round for First-Ever NCAA Tournament Victory

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. --- The Moravian College women’s tennis team earned its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory with a 5-0 win over Cairn University Friday in the opening round of the 2019 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament with the first three rounds being hosted by Middlebury (Vt.) College.

Five Greyhounds Honored on Landmark Women's Tennis All-Conference Teams; Wilf Named Coach of the Year

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior Eiman Nazif and sophomore Emma Angle have been selected to the 2019 Landmark Women's Tennis All-Conference First Team in singles while junior Lauren Steinert and sophomore Brooke Adams were named to the All-Conference Second Team in singles, Steinert and sophomore Mary Angle were honored on the All-Conference Second Team in doubles, and Director of Tennis Aaron Wilf was selected as the Coach of the Year.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2019 senior student-athletes at the annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet Wednesday night in Johnston Hall. Softball standout Kat Spilman was named the Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while men’s basketball player Oneil Holder was honored with the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete award. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to women’s soccer student-athlete Paige Kovacs and football player Nick Zambelli. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented to Terry Eddinger and Marty Jo Moyle.
