Greyhounds Receive Votes in D3baseball.com Preseason Poll
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- The Moravian College baseball team received votes in the 2015 D3baseball.com Preseason Top 25 Poll.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- The Moravian College baseball team received votes in the 2015 D3baseball.com Preseason Top 25 Poll.
The Greyhounds received 14 points and are the eighth of 28 teams to receive votes outside the Top 25. Moravian is scheduled to play five teams ranked in the preseason poll with road contests at No. 11 Kean University, No. 14 Rowan University and No. 25 Misericordia University. The Hounds will take on No. 13 Marietta College and No. 20 Baldwin-Wallace College at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida during their spring trip.
Ninth-year Head Coach Paul Engelhardt returns 22 players including seven of eight starters in the field and three starters on the mound in 2015. The Greyhounds had one of the best seasons in school history in last spring when the squad won a school-record 32 games, was nationally-ranked for the first time in school history, defeated four nationally-ranked opponents including two in the top 10, was the top ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic Region by the NCAA and earned an at-large berth and top seed in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by Misericordia at PNC Field in Moosic.
