BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at the 2025-26 athletic campaign with a top 15 list of the Most Exciting Games of the year voted on by the athletic administration.
Our No. 9 highlight – the baseball squad walks off a 7-6, 12-inning victory over Susquehanna University on Friday, April 3 at Gillespie Field.
The River Hawks scored a pair of runs in the top of the third inning for a 2-0 lead. However, the Hounds answered with two runs in the bottom of the fourth to knot that score at 2-2 on a solo home run by sophomore left fielder Troy Rabosky and an RBI double from freshman second baseman Jack Cappo. Susquehanna moved back ahead, 3-2, in the top of the fifth while sophomore shortstop David Vozzo and Rabosky both hit solo home runs in the bottom of the sixth to give the Blue & Grey a 4-3 edge.
Susquehanna retook a 5-4 lead with two runs in the top of the seventh. Moravian countered with an RBI single from Rabosky in the bottom of the inning to knot the game again at 5-5. The score remained tied until the top of the 11th when the River Hawks took a 6-5 lead. Sophomore center fielder Luke Keitsock connected on an RBI single in the bottom of the frame to make it 6-6.
The Greyhounds earned the win in the bottom of the 12th when junior catcher Ryan Kessler ripped an RBI single to score senior first baseman Sean Superka after the River Hawks had intentionally walked junior designated hitter David Rodriguez to set up a double play opportunity.
