Greyhounds Win Third Straight Landmark Conference Match with Victory over Drew
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad won its third straight Landmark Conference match with a 2-1 victory over visiting Drew University at a chilly John Makuvek Field Tuesday evening.

How It Happened
- The Rangers opened the scoring in the tenth minute on a tip-in on a penalty corner for a 1-0 advantage
- The Greyhounds knotted the score in the 22nd minute as junior forward Gia Ambrosino dribbled into the left side of the circle and fired a shot along the baseline and inside the right post to make it 1-1
- Ambrosino scored again midway through the third quarter as she knocked a pass into the cage on a penalty corner from senior defender Lexi Dinsmore for the 2-1 edge
- Neither squad found the goal in the fourth quarter
- The Hounds hosted their Hidden Opponent match to raise awareness for mental health
Inside the Numbers
- Ambrosino now has 11 goals this fall to lead the Hounds, and she has upper her career total to 19 goals
- Dinsmore recorded her third assist of 2024 and her career
- Sophomore goalie Maia Machado registered three saves in the contest
- Moravian had a 15-6 advantage in shots and a 10-5 edge in penalty corners
