Greyhounds Post Runner-Up Finish in Moravian Weyhill Classic

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s golf squad was the runner-up of 10 teams in the Moravian Weyhill Classic played on the Weyhill Course at the Saucon Valley Country Club Monday in the rain.

The Hounds posted a four-man team score of 324 to finish eight strokes behind the Drew University B team that took first with a 316
The University of Scranton was third with a 326 as the Royals' Dan Harding defeated Brandon Staniszewski from Lebanon Valley College with a lower back nine of 37 to 40 as both players carded rounds of 75 on the par 72 course

Moravian Results

Junior Jason Koch paced the Blue & Grey with a four-over par round of 76 to tie for third of the 55 golfers. Koch recorded a pair of birdies to go with 10 pars in his round
Junior TJ Bohl finished in a tie for 12th with an 81 that included nine pars
Junior Jacob Donmoyer was one of five Greyhounds that played in the tournament as an individual, and he also tied for 12th with an 81 as he carded 11 pars. The round was a career low for Donmoyer
Junior Sam Bingaman was in a tie for 18th at 83 as he registered a birdie and six pars
Freshman Ehren Weyman was a stroke back with an 84 that tied him for 21st, and Weyman carded a birdie and seven pars
Sophomore Robbie McNelly finished in a tie for 29th with a round of 86 as he had eight pars
Senior Eric Gilbert was tied for 33rd with a career-best 87 that included a pair of birdies and five pars
Senior Jack Wagner placed 47th with a 93 with three pars
Senior Sam Mortazavi was a spot back with a 95 that included four pars
Junior Tommy Zanghi had a 100 in his first career round for the Greyhounds, and he had a birdie and three pars
