Greyhounds Fall to Wilkes University, 7-2, in Spring Opener
HILTON HEAD, S.C. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team started its 2012 spring season with a 7-2 loss to Wilkes University at the PTR Spring TennisFest at Carolina Place in Hilton Head Tuesday.

The Greyhounds, now 2-3 on the season, trailed the Colonels, who improved to 4-0, after doubles action. Moravian did earn a point with the top doubles pairing of senior Chelsea Ott and sophomore Katie Zien winning 8-5 over Katrina Lynn and Melanie Nolt.
Moravian would also earn one points in singles action with Ott posting a 7-6 (9-7), 6-0 victory over Nolt at first singles. For Ott, the win was the 41st of her singles career at Moravian.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, March 7 when they play Bridgewater (Va.) College at 2:00 p.m. at Carolina Place.
