Top Seeded Greyhounds Set to Host The University of Scranton in 2021 Landmark Conference Championship on May 9
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The top seed Moravian College women’s tennis squad is ready to host second seed The University of Scranton in the 2021 Landmark Conference Championship contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 9 at Hoffman Courts.

If there is inclement weather Sunday, the match will be played indoors in Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse beginning at the same time. A decision on the final site of the match will be made Sunday morning.
The Greyhounds enter the contest with a 9-0 record this spring including a 7-0 mark in Landmark Conference action. The Hounds are the defending Landmark Conference Champions from 2019 with the 2020 tournament cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. When Moravian and Scranton met during the regular season, the Blue& Grey recorded a 6-3 victory in Scranton on April 24.
Moravian is heading to the Landmark Conference Championship match for the sixth time since the conference began competition in 2007-08, and the Greyhounds are hosting the title match for the fifth time. The Blue and Grey are 4-0 in their previous title matches at home including three victories over Scranton.
This spring, senior Brooke Adams leads the Greyhounds with a 9-0 record in singles while sophomore Maddie Figiel and senior Kristen Cassidy are both 7-0 in singles action. Senior Emma Angle has an 8-1 singles slate while senior Mary Angle is 7-1 in singles this spring. Sophomore Julianne Cassady is 6-2 while sophomore Cristina Merone and senior Destiny George each have a 1-0 singles mark.
The Angle sisters are 8-1 as a doubles team while the doubles tandems of Adams and Cassidy and Merone and Cassady are each 6-1. Adams and Cassady are 1-0 as are Figiel and Merone.
The winner of the match will advance to the 2021 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament with the conference's automatic berth.
