HERSHEY, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team finished third of 18 teams at the Elizabethtown College Spring Blue Jay Classic played at the Hershey Country Club East Course Thursday.
The Greyhounds posted a team score of 328, six strokes behind first place Stevenson University and four strokes behind Messiah College.
Junior Thomas Fenyak paced the Moravian individuals with a seven-over par round of 78 on the par 71 course to finish in a tie for fifth of the 96 golfers in the tournament. Senior Scott Stires was tied for ninth with a round of 80 while junior Tyler Thompson had an 82 to finish in a tie for 19th. Senior John Dimler carded an 88 for the tournament, which is tied for 56th, while senior Sam Stires was tied for 71st with a round of 91.
Moravian will return to action Sunday, April 8 and Monday, April 9 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by The University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club starting at 8:00 a.m.
