Holmes Selected as Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior designated hitter Derek Holmes from the Moravian University baseball team has been selected as this week’s Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior designated hitter Derek Holmes from the Moravian University baseball team has been selected as this week's Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
Holmes hit .545, going 6-for-11 at the plate, as the Greyhounds opened the Landmark Conference season with a 2-1 series win at Drew University. Holmes collected four doubles in his six hits to go with four RBIs, three runs, a .909 slugging percentage and a .643 on-base percentage as he walked twice and was hit by a pitch. Holmes hit safely in all three games of the series.
The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
