Head Golf Coach Kevin Edwards Named Lehigh Valley Business Forty Under 40 Award Winner
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College Head Golf Coach Kevin Edwards, the PGA Director of Golf at Woodstone Country Club & Lodge, has been named a winner in the 2013 LVB Forty Under 40 awards program. The award program, produced by Lehigh Valley Business, the Greater Lehigh Valley’s premier business news publication, is sponsored by Crystal Signatures and Cedar Crest College.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College Head Golf Coach Kevin Edwards, the PGA Director of Golf at Woodstone Country Club & Lodge, has been named a winner in the 2013 LVB Forty Under 40 awards program. The award program, produced by Lehigh Valley Business, the Greater Lehigh Valley's premier business news publication, is sponsored by Crystal Signatures and Cedar Crest College.
The Forty Under 40 awards program honors men and women under the age of 40 who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, to professional excellence and to the community. To qualify, a nominee had to meet selection criteria that included working in the Greater Lehigh Valley and possessing significant authority for decision making within a company or organization.
Edwards has served as the Director of Golf at Woodstone CC in Lehigh Township since March 2009. Before working at Woodstone, Edwards was the head pro at Riverview Country Club for five years, an assistant pro at Lehigh Country Club from 2000-2004, head pro at Southmoore Golf Course from 1999-2000, and an assistant pro at Southmoore from 1996-1998.
Edwards is a graduate of Nazareth High School and Moravian College, Class of 1996, where he is in his third season as the Greyhounds' head men's golf coach after spending five years as an assistant coach. Edwards has been a PGA Member for 13 years and has been in the golf industry for over 24 years. He is also a two-time Philadelphia Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year in 2006 and 2008.
Lehigh Valley Business and the program sponsors will honor this year's winners during an awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Historic Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA. The honorees will also be highlighted in a special supplement to Lehigh Valley Business on June 17, 2013.
Edwards is one of three Moravian graduates being honored in the 2013 LVB Forty Under 40 Awards. Joshua Dodd, a 1999 graduate, works for Univest Bank & Trust Company while Sean Pressmann, Class of 2012, is being honored for work with the Jack Pressman Memorial Scholarship Fund.
