TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior Jason Koch has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior Jason Koch has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Koch played three rounds last week and averaged 74.0 strokes per 18 holes, and he garnered medalist honors at the 2024 Landmark Conference Fall Preview to end the fall campaign on Sunday. Koch started the week with a round of 76 in the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational where he tied for fifth of the 99 golfers. Koch then recorded the lowest two-day total at the Landmark Fall Preview at Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort with a 146 after an opening round of 75 on Saturday and a one-under par 71 Sunday to win by three strokes. Over the 54 holes during the week, Koch carded seven birdies and 35 pars.
"Jason has earned the title of Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honor through his dedication and exceptional performance on the course," stated Director of Golf Meredith Mutcher. "It's a testament to his hard work and commitment. We're excited to see him continue to excel and set the standard for our program."
The Greyhounds are not scheduled to return to action until Monday, March 3 when the squad will play in the first round of the 36-hole Pfeiffer (N.C.) University Spring Invitational at the Big Cats GCS of Ocean Ridge Plantation in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina to start the spring portion of the season.
