Leonard Leads Moravian at Duke Twilight Meet

DURHAM, N.C. --- Junior Micah Leonard of the Moravian College women's outdoor track & field team led the Greyhounds at the non-scoring Duke University Twilight Meet Sunday evening.
Leonard placed third in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 5.41 meters (17 feet, nine inches), and she finished sixth in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 11.57 meters (37 feet, 11 1/2 inches). Freshman Hailey Kester took sixth in the long jump at 4.67 meters (15 feet, four inches), and she also finished third in the pole vault, clearing an ECAC qualifying mark of 3.40 meters (11 feet, 1 3/4 inches).
On the track, senior Cadee Rockwell finished fifth in the 5,000-meter run with an ECAC qualifying mark of 18:29.87 while freshman Morgan Redmond had a pair of ECAC qualifying times, finishing 11th in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.70 seconds and taking seventh in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.60, the second fastest time in school history. Freshman Brielle Sutter was 12th in the 400-meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 58.93 seconds while senior Lisa Williamson took 15th in the event in 1:01.26.
Sutter and Williamson joined with senior Kristina Ruggiero and freshman Brianna Wright to place second in the 4x400-meter relay in an ECAC qualifying time of 4:05.61. Ruggiero was 16th in the 800-meter run in 2:21.07 while Wright took 20th in the 200-meter dash in 26.97 seconds. Sophomore Jacqueline Olmstead had a time of 16.42 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, placing 12th.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Monday, May 14th at the Swarthmore College Last Chance Meet.
