Brockett Places 12th in 5K at NCAA DIII Indoor Championships
GRINNELL, Iowa. --- Moravian College junior Meg Brockett finished 12th in the 5,000-meter run at the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships being hosted by Grinnell College Friday.
GRINNELL, Iowa. --- Moravian College junior Meg Brockett finished 12th in the 5,000-meter run at the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships being hosted by Grinnell College Friday.
Brockett ran a time of 17:37.10, the fourth fastest time in school history, and she improved from her 15th place seed in the field of 17 runners. Brockett had her best split time right out of the start at 1:19.66, and she was under 1:25 on her first seven split times of the race.
Brockett's run concludes Moravian's indoor season, and the Greyhounds will begin their 2016 outdoor campaign on Friday and Saturday, March 25-26 at the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet.
