Moravian Races Past Bryn Athyn in Non-Conference Action
BRYN ATHYN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s soccer team took an early lead and scored four goals in the second half to post a 6-1 non-conference victory at Bryn Athyn College Tuesday evening.

How It Happened
- The Hounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute of the contest when sophomore midfielder Rafi Sanjuan knocked in a corner kick from graduate student forward Zach Nicholas
- The Lions evened the contest at 1-1 with a goal in the 21st minute
- Moravian moved back ahead by a goal in the 37th minute as senior forward Ben Scary drove a shot into the net after a pass from freshman forward Joey Roth
- Roth stretched the advantage to 3-1 in the 55th minute as he put a pass from sophomore midfielder Giuseppe Propato into the lower portion of the goal
- Sophomore midfielder Colin Woehlcke made it 4-1 just seven and a half minutes later off a feed from Scary
- Freshman defender Ryan Mullin headed in a corner kick from freshman midfielder Sean Kirwin in the 72nd minute to push the edge to 5-1
- Freshman midfielder Owen Smith finished off the scoring in the 85th minute with a goal set up by freshman forward Colin Moyer
- The start of the match was delayed by nearly an hour
Inside the Numbers
- Sanjuan's goal was his of the season and second of his career while Scary netted his second goal of the fall and 13th of his career as well as his first assist of 2024 and third of his career
- Roth notched his second career goal, and he recorded his first career assist while Woehlcke scored for the first time this fall and his career marker
- Mullin's goal was the first of his career with the Blue & Grey while Smith netted his first career marker
- Nicholas earned his first assist of 2024 and third of his career while Propato garnered second assist of the year and third of his career
- Kirwin and Moyer both earned their first career assist
- Junior goalie Casey Prajzner played the first 35 minutes of the contest while junior keeper Casey Foley played 31 minutes in his first career action. Graduate student goalie Christian Beebe played the final 24 minutes of the contest
- Moravian finished the night with a 25-2 advantage in shots and a 7-0 edge on corner kicks
