Silberman Selected as Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior catcher Marcie Silberman of the Moravian University’s softball team has been selected as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for her performance last week.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior catcher Marcie Silberman of the Moravian University's softball team has been selected as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for her performance last week.
Silberman helped No. 16 Moravian to a 6-0 week including a 4-0 mark in Landmark Conference contests. She hit .556 (10-for-18) with six runs, five homers, 13 RBIs, a. 1.389 slugging percentage, 2 walks, 2 sacrifice flies and a .545 on-base percentage in the six games. Silberman also had 25 putouts and an assist in 26 chances in the field. She was 3-for-7 with a run, a homer and three RBIs in a sweep at Wilkes University before going 3-for-7 with a run, a homer and two RBIs versus Misericordia University. Silberman finished the week with a 4-for-4 day with three homers, three runs, two sacrifice flies, and eight RBIs in a sweep of Lycoming College to give her 13 home runs for the season and 35 in her career, moving her one homer shy of tying the Moravian and Landmark Conference career record.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 22 when the squad heads to Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Selinsgrove.
