Vanek & Leonard Win Events at Thomson Invitational
NEWARK, Del. --- Senior Micah Leonard and junior Allison Vanek won events to lead the Moravian College women's indoor track & field team at the non-scoring Thomson Invitational hosted by The University of Delaware Saturday.
NEWARK, Del. --- Senior Micah Leonard and junior Allison Vanek won events to lead the Moravian College women's indoor track & field team at the non-scoring Thomson Invitational hosted by The University of Delaware Saturday.
Leonard captured the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 11.26 meters (36 feet, 11 1/2 inches) while Vanek was first in the pole vault with an ECAC qualifying height of 3.60 meters (11 feet, 9 3/4 inches).
Sophomore Hailey Kester had the Greyhounds' other top ten finish in the field events at the meet as she tied for fourth in pole vault at an ECAC qualifying height of 3.30 meters (ten feet, ten inches).
Freshman Corinne Glass was ninth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:03.10.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 2nd at the John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University.
