Greyhounds Drop First Landmark Conference Match of the Season in Setback to Elizabethtown
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s lacrosse team dropped its first Landmark Conference match of the season, falling to visiting Elizabethtown College, 14-5, on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- The Blue Jays scored the opening goal just 49 seconds into the contest, and Elizabethtown led 2-0 before junior attack Ryan Kokoszka found the net for the Greyhounds just under five minutes into action. The Blue Jays countered with three goals to lead 5-1 after 15 minutes of action
- Moravian began the second quarter with a goal from graduate student attack Trevor Dzama in the first two minutes, and senior midfielder Aaron Judge made it 5-3 with a goal. Dzama scored again to get the Blue & Grey within a goal with 4:28 to play in the first half. However, Elizabethtown netted a goal to head to the intermission with a 6-4 edge
- The third quarter was all Blue Jays as Elizabethtown scored four times to stretch the advantage to 10-4 after 45 minutes of play
- The Blue Jays outscored the Hounds 4-1 in the fourth quarter with Dzama tallying the only Moravian goal of the second half
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian saw five players record a point with Dzama netting a hat trick to go with an assist and a pair of ground balls
- Judge and Kokoszka each had one goal while sophomore attack Nick Coffaro contributed two assists and senior midfielder Dan Kelly added one assist and two ground balls
- Senior Gannon Mesko was 7-for-19 on face-offs to go with a pair of caused turnovers while sophomore long stick midfielder Andrew Cassese and junior defender James Panico both had three ground balls
- Senior short stick defensive midfielder Kyle Weiss, junior defender Mike Sickler and senior midfielder Nick Sullivan all had two ground balls
- Sophomore goalie Liam Kelly posted 14 saves and a team-high six ground balls
- The Hounds saw their six-match winning streak end, falling for the first time since March 1
- Moravian was 20-for-23 on clearing attempts versus the Blue Jays
