Moravian Sweeps Elizabethtown for Fifth Straight Landmark Conference Victory
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis squad swept visiting Elizabethtown College, 7-0, in Landmark Conference action at Hoffman Courts Sunday as the Hounds won their fifth straight conference victory.

How It Happened
- The Blue & Grey took all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the contest. Sophomores Ali Bender and Sydney Shifman started the afternoon with a 6-0 triumph at third doubles while junior Izzy Szmodis and sophomore Leah Zolotareva posted a 6-1 win at first doubles for the 1-0 lead. Freshmen Nicole Kalorin and Ali Willis finished off the sweep with a 6-2 victory at second doubles
- Zolotareva recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles while Szmodis captured a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at second singles to make it 3-0. Shifman registered the winning team point with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at third singles while Willis won 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles. Freshman Jenna Gower contributed a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at sixth singles while sophomore Katherine Georgiou finished the contest with a 6-2, 6-4 win at fifth singles
