Case Western took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning in the opening game as outfielder Katherine Seo walked and stole a pair of bases before scoring on an RBI single by shortstop Beth Andrasik.
The Greyhounds answered with a run in the bottom half of the first to tie the game. Senior shortstop Stephanie Falzarano led off with a single while freshman second baseman Eavan Matz walked. Moravian took the lead with six runs in the bottom of the fourth. Sophomore outfielder Brook Kowal led off with a walk before sophomore designated player Alyssa Fegely singled. Freshman outfielder Rachel DeLucia then reached on an error that allowed both Kowal and Fegely to scored, and DeLucia crossed the plate on a passed ball. The final three runs of the inning came on a three-run homer off the bat of junior first baseman Jenna Carmon, pictured at right.
