Greyhounds Race Past Immaculata to Open 2024-25 Campaign with 25-Point Victory
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s basketball squad raced out to a 20-point halftime lead on the way to an 89-64 victory over visiting Immaculata University in non-conference action in Johnston Hall Monday evening to start the 2024-25 campaign.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scored the opening points of the season on a lay-up from junior guard Chad Kratzer. The Mighty Macs answered with six of the next eight points, and Immaculata led 10-6 before the Blue & Grey went on an 11-0 run to take the lead for good. Moravian moved ahead 11-10 on a three-pointer form junior guard Porter Kelly, and junior forward Marquis Ratcliff pushed the advantage into double digits at 22-12 with a lay-up at the 12:05 mark
- The Hounds slowly stretched the lead over the rest of the first half, leading by as many as 21 points at 49-28 on a three-pointer from graduate student guard Alex Dietz. Moravian took a 50-30 edge to the locker room
- Except for the first basket of the second half, the Blue & Grey kept the advantage over 20 points for the final 20 minutes. The lead reached a game-high of 31 points at 87-56 with 5:35 to go on a lay-up from sophomore guard Riley Flood
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian put five players in double figures with Kratzer, Kelly and Ratcliff all scoring 18 points. Ratcliff grabbed nine rebounds to go with three blocked shots and three steals while Kelly had three boards and a pair of assists and Kratzer added two steals in his first game as a Greyhound
- Dietz and sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter both netted 11 points with Perlmutter adding nine rebounds and three steals and Dietz registering twos steals
- Senior guard/forward Michael Leonardo contributed six points, three assists, two steals and two rebounds while freshman forward Jametric Harris added four rebounds, three points, three assists and two blocked shots in his first collegiate game
- Flood and freshman guard Dylan Costa both netted two points while junior forward Liam Cummiskey had two assists and two blocked shots and sophomore guard George Cutler added two boards
- The Hounds connected on 28-of-60 field goal attempts, 8-of-29 three-pointers and 25-of-31 free throws in the contest
- The Blue & Grey also had a 40-38 edge on the glass while forcing the Mighty Macs into 25 turnovers
