Hounds Fall to DeSales in Non-Conference Action

How It Happened
- The Bulldogs hit the opening basket of the game while junior forward Marquis Ratcliff tipped in a miss to knot the score at 2-2. Junior guard Chad Kratzer hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 5-5, and the Greyhounds knotted the score three more times including at 16-16 on a lay-up from graduate student guard Alex Dietz and the 12:25 mark
- DeSales began to pull away at that point, leading by as many as ten points. The Blue & Grey closed the gap to 36-33 on two free throws by sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter with 3:33 left in the first half, but the Bulldogs finished the half with a 10-4 run to head to the locker room with a 46-37 advantage
- DeSales stretched its edge in the second half to as many as 26 points
Inside the Numbers
- Ratcliff netted a season-high 31 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists as he shot 10-for-16 from the field, 5-for-8 on three-pointers and 6-for-8 at the foul line
- Kratzer, Perlmutter, junior guard Porter Kelly, freshman forward Jametric Harris and junior forward Liam Cummiskey all scored five points with Perlmutter adding three rebounds and two assists, Kelly making three steals and Kratzer grabbing two boards
- Junior guard Colin Farrell posted four points while Dietz, senior forward Michael Leonardo, sophomore guard George Cutler and sophomore guard/forward Riley Flood each netted two points with Culter dishing out two assists and both Flood and Leonardo adding two boards
- Sophomore forward Brian Farrell added two rebounds
- The Hounds were 23-for-52 from the field, 8-for-26 one three-pointers and 14-for-22 at the foul line
