Leonardo & Perlmutter Selected College Sports Communicators Men’s Basketball Academic All-District
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University senior guard/forward Michael Leonardo and sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter have been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men’s Basketball Team for NCAA Division III schools.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University senior guard/forward Michael Leonardo and sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter have been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team for NCAA Division III schools.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that has played in 90 percent of the team's contest or started 66 percent of the team's games in 2024-25. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Tuesday, April 15 for men's basketball.
Leonardo, a management major with a 3.57 GPA, started all 26 games this winter for Moravian, and he averaged 7.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest while contributing 74 assists, 39 three-pointers, 26 steals and 16 blocked shots. In his career, he had 557 points, 524 rebounds (14th in school history), 302 assists (seventh in program history), 81 steals and 61 blocked shots (ninth all-time) while starting 65 of 101 career games. As a sophomore in 2022-23, Leonardo dished out 104 assists, the seventh best season in program history, and he is just one of eight players to have more than 100 assists in a single season. Leonardo will be a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, and he was also named to the 2025 Landmark Conference Winter All-Sportsmanship Team as well as the 2024 Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team.
Perlmutter, a data science major with a 3.52 GPA, played in all 26 games this season with eight starts for the Hounds, and he averaged 4.8 points per game to go along with 67 rebounds, 57 assists, 14 steals and nine three-pointers. In two seasons, Perlmutter has seen action in 50 games with eight starts while contributing 212 points, 106 rebounds, 87 assists, 31 steals, 20 three-pointers and four blocked shots. Perlmutter will be a member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, and he was also named to the 2025 Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team.
The Greyhounds were 16-10 this year including an 11-7 slate in Landmark Conference action to qualify for the Landmark Conference Tournament for the first time since 2020 as the fifth seed.
