Greyhounds Run Away from Lycoming at The Palesta for Fifth Straight Victory

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scoring first on a lay-up from junior forward Marquis Ratcliff on an offensive rebound. The Warriors knotted the score at 2-2 before another lay-up by Ratcliff ignited a 13-2 run that saw the Blue & Grey leading 15-2 after a three-point play from Ratcliff at the 15:59 mark. Lycoming connected on back-to-back three-pointers to pull within 15-8 but that would be as close as the Warriors would get. Ratcliff drained a three-pointer while junior forward Porter Kelly had a lay-up and junior guard Chad Kratzer connected on two three-pointers to make the advantage 26-10 just six and a half minutes into action
- Throughout the remainder of the first half, Lycoming would only get within ten points twice while the Blue & Grey led by 23 points at 56-33 on a Kratzer lay-up with 2:26 until the intermission. Moravian took a 61-42 edge to the locker room
- The second half saw the Hounds continue to stretch their lead, seeing the advantage reach 38 points, 113-75, on a dunk from freshman forward Brave Haugh with 1:19 to play
- Moravian was playing at The Palestra for the second consecutive season as part of the third Landmark Conference Day at The Palestra, and the Hounds are 2-0
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had three players in double figures with Kratzer netting a career-high 34 points as he shot 11-for-17 from the floor and 8-for-11 on three-pointers, and Kratzer also added four rebounds, four steals and three assists
- Ratcliff tied his career high with 32 points to go with eight rebounds and a pair of blocked shots, and Ratcliff has scored 63 points in just two games in The Palestra
- Haugh finished with ten points and two boards while Kelly tossed in nine points to go with five assists
- Sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter contributed seven points, two assists and two rebounds while junior forward Liam Cummiskey had six points and two rebounds
- Senior forward Michael Leonardo recorded five points, five rebounds and five assists while graduate student guard Alex Dietz had five points and freshman forward Jametric Harris posted five points and six rebounds
- Sophomore forward Brian Farrell registered three rebounds and two points
- The Blue & Grey shot 43-for-77 from the field, 18-for-38 beyond the three-point line and 11-for-15 at the charity stripe
- The Hounds recorded a 42-34 advantage in rebounds, and Moravian forced Lycoming into 16 turnovers while committing just nine turnovers
- The 115 points for the Greyhounds were just two points shy of the single game program record, and Moravian reached the century mark for the third time this winter
