Moravian Rallies from Down 20 to Top Susquehanna in Landmark Conference Action
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s basketball team rallied from a 20-point deficit early in the second half to defeat visiting Susquehanna University, 89-84, for the Greyhounds first Landmark Conference win of the season Saturday.

How It Happened
- The Hounds got off to a slow start of the game trailing 13-6 after five minutes with the baskets coming from freshman forward Jametric Harris, sophomore guard George Cutler and junior guard Colin Farrell. The next basket of the game for the Greyhounds was a three-pointer by junior forward Marquis Ratcliff eight minutes into the game bringing the score to 14-9
- The River Hawks pushed out to a 26-11 advantage with 9:21 left in the first half, and Susquehanna stretched the lead out to 52-36 at the intermission
- Three minutes into the second half, the River Hawks' edge reached 20 points at 59-39 before Moravian started its comeback. The Blue & Grey scored seven straight points to pull within 59-46 on a lay-up from Ratcliff at the 15:02 mark, and the Hounds had the deficit down to seven points, 67-60, with 10:48 on the clock after five straight points from Ratcliff
- Moravian continued its run, knotting the score at 67-67 on a three-pointer from senior guard/forward Michael Leonardo with 8:14 to play. Susquehanna netted the next two points before the Hounds took their first lead of the contest at the 6:46 mark on a three-pointer from Harris for a 71-69 edge. Junior guard Chad Kratzer had a lay-up and two three-pointers to push the advantage to 79-71, and the Greyhounds let the remainder of the game
- At halftime of the contest, Moravian honored several of its 1,000-point scorers in attendance
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had three players in double figures with Ratcliff earning his first double-double of the season with 28 points and 10 rebounds to go with four assists
- Kratzer tossed in 21 points with two assists and two steals while junior guard Porter Kelley added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals
- Sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter finished with nine points while Leonardo contributed six points, two rebounds and two assists
- Harris posted five points, two rebounds and two assists while Farrell had four points
- Cutler and sophomore guard Riley Flood each netted two points while graduate student guard Alex Dietz had one point
- The Greyhounds shot 32-of-55 from the field, 12-of-24 beyond the three-point line and 13-for-20 at the charity stripe
