Salvatore Selected as Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse Senior Scholar-Athlete

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior attack Jackie Salvatore has been honored as the 2025 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete for Women's Lacrosse.
The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators and sports information directors. Chosen at the conclusion of each sport season, the ten spring honorees are being announced this week.
"I am so proud of Jackie and the four years she had at Moravian," commented Head Coach Caroline Pape. "Year after year she has continued improving, and it is great see her cap off her career with honors for academics and athletics. This highlights the holistic impact she has had on our program and conference, and the well-rounded, exceptional person Jackie is."
This spring, Salvatore helped the Greyhounds to a 10-8 record and a berth in the Landmark Conference Tournament. Salvatore was honored as the 2025 Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year while earning spots on the Landmark All-Conference First Team and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Metro Region Second Team. She was selected an Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine. Salvatore set the Moravian single season records for points in a season with 120 and assists in a year with 76 in 2025 to go along with 44 goals, 83 draw controls, 32 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
In 2024, Salvatore was a key part of the Hounds' squad that played in the Landmark Conference Tournament and was 8-10 overall. Salvatore was the 2024 Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Co-Offensive Player of the Year and a member the Landmark All-Conference First Team and IWLCA All-Metro Region First Team. Salvatore recorded a then school record 109 points on 52 goals and a then school record 57 assists to go with 91 draw controls, 32 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers.
In 2023, Salvatore helped Moravian to a 12-6 record and the Landmark Conference Tournament Semifinals. Salvatore was selected to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team while registering 87 points on 42 goals and 45 assists to go along with 35 ground balls, 29 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers.
As a freshman in 2022, Salvatore helped the Hounds to an 8-10 mark and a berth in the Landmark Conference Tournament Semifinals. Salvatore was named as the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year as well as a member of the Landmark All-Conference Second Team. She had 63 points on 40 goals and 23 assists to go with 25 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and seven draw controls in her debut season.
In her career, Salvatore set the Moravian and Landmark Conference record in assists with 201, and her 379 career points are also a Landmark Conference record while ranking second in program history. Salvatore added 178 goals, 210 draw controls, 124 ground balls and 46 caused turnovers while starting all 72 matches in her career. She took 400 shots in her career with 260 (65 percent) on goal, and Salvatore was 50-for-102 on free position shots for Moravian.
Off the field, Salvatore made Moravian's Dean's Honors List all eight semesters as well as being a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society. She will be a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Salvatore graduated with a bachelor's degree in public health as she posted a career 3.92 grade point average. Salvatore was selected to the 2024 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and the 2024 College Sports Communicators Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team. Salvatore was also the treasurer of Moravian's Public Health Club.
Salvatore is Moravian's 45th Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete since the conference began in 2007-08, and she is the first women's lacrosse student-athlete to be honored.
