EWING, N.J. --- The Moravian University women's lacrosse squad fell to No. 12 The College of New Jersey, 23-6, in non-conference action Wednesday.

How It Happened

The Lions scored the first six goals of the match before senior midfielder Alex Cherenson scored for the Greyhounds. Sophomore attack Melissa Elefonte also netted a first quarter goal; however, TCNJ led 9-2 after 15 minutes of action
Sophomore midfielder Bailey Leatherman and freshman midfielder Ella Steirer both had goals in the second quarter for the Blue & Grey as the Lions took a 16-4 lead into the intermission
Senior midfielder Madi Dippel and senior attack Jackie Salvatore each had one goal for the Hounds in the fourth quarter

Inside the Numbers

Moravian had six players record a point with Salvatore contributing a goal and three assists to go with two draw controls
Dippel and Elefonte both had a goal and an assist with Dippel adding five draw controls while Cherenson had a goal and two caused turnovers
Steirer and Leatherman each netted one goal while freshman midfielder Kathryn Hunsinger recorded a pair of draw controls
