Moravian Women Take 12th in Rowan Border Battle
GLOUCESTER, N.J. --- The Moravian University women’s cross country team finished 12th at the Rowan University Border Battle Saturday morning at Gloucester County DREAM Park, the site of this year’s NCAA Division III Metro Regional Championship in a few weeks.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scored 326 points to place 12th of the 31 teams
- No. 8 Carnegie Mellon University took first with 32 points while No. 3 Johns Hopkins University was second with 127 points
- Senior Tara Smurla finished fourth of the 295 runners with a personal best time of 21:34.1
- Senior Meghan Myers took 72nd in a time of 23:14.4 while junior Kayla O'Neil was 82nd overall in a PR time of 23:28.0
- Senior Tori Champagne finished in 101st with a time of 23:51.3 while freshman Kiley Amend took 105th at 23:54.5
- Freshman Kate Veivia was two spots back in 107th with a time of 23:58.0 while junior Alyssa Hockenberry took 118th at 24:09.5
- Rounding out the Moravian runners were junior Kierstyn Klingner in 131st in a time of 24:23.6, junior Alexis Hockenberry was 165th in 24:43.3 and freshman Lexi Liddell finished 195th in 25:14.4
