TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior midfielder Tyler King and senior goalie Casey Prajzner have been named as the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Athlete and Defensive Athlete of the Week for their performance last week.
The duo helped the Greyhounds to a 1-0-1 week including a 3-0 non-conference victory over Marywood University and a 1-1 draw with The Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference action.
King netted a pair of goals during the two matches. He scored twice on three shots versus Marywood University as he recorded the game-winning goal.
"Congratulations to Tyler King for being named Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week," stated Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "Tyler scored twice in our win against Marywood. Tyler also put in a good shift in our tie against Catholic on Saturday afternoon."
Prajzner played all 180 minutes in goal last week and registered a 0.50 goals-against average, ten saves and a shutout. Prajzner did not face a shot versus Marywood as he recorded his fourth shutout of the season and tenth of his career to become the tenth goalie in program history to reach double digits in shutouts. He then made 10 saves in the tied with Catholic.
"Congratulations to Casey Prajzner on being named Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Sodexo Athlete of the week,' Wilkinson noted. "Casey picked up a shutout against Marywood, and he was excellent in goal against Catholic University only giving up one goal in our 1-1 tie."
The Hounds are slated to return to action on Tuesday, October 7 in a Landmark Conference match versus Drew University beginning at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
