Senior Timothy Layng Earns Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week
MADISON, N.J. – Senior pole vaulter Timothy Layng of the Moravian College men's track & field team earned Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of January 30th. This is the second straight week Layng has been named Conference Field Athlete of the Week.
MADISON, N.J. – Senior pole vaulter Timothy Layng of the Moravian College men's track & field team earned Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of January 30th. This is the second straight week Layng has been named Conference Field Athlete of the Week.
Layng continued his strong early-season performances for the Greyhounds. He set a new Landmark and Moravian record by winning the pole vault at the Delaware Thomson Invitational. He cleared 4.90 meters (16 feet, ¾ inch), breaking the previous Landmark record of 4.75 meters. The height ranks fourth in NCAA Division III this season.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, February 4th when Moravian travels to the 13th Annual DeSchriver Invitational at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
