Senior Nicco Dalpiaz Named Landmark Field Athlete of the Week

MADISON, N.J. – Senior Nicco Dalpiaz of the Moravian College men's track & field team was named Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 16th.
In his first time competing in the event, Dalpiaz won the decathlon at the Mondschein Multi hosted by Kutztown over the weekend. He piled 6,211 points in the ten-event competition, the fifth-highest total in Division III this season. Dalpiaz cleared 4.85 meters (15 feet, 11 inches) in the pole vault to earn 865 points for his highest total in any event and had at least 448 points in each of the ten events.
In the other nine events, Dalpiaz ran an 11.41 in the 100 meter dash, 15.82 in the 110 meter hurdles, 5:01.06 in the 1,500 meter run. In the long jump, he posted a mark of 6.81 meters (22 feet, 4 ¼ inches), a 9.71 meter (31 feet, 10 ¼ inches) toss in the shot put, a mark of 1.63 meters (5 feet, 4 ¼ inches) in the high jump. Dalpiaz posted 25.87 meters (84 feet, 10 inches) in the discus throw and a distance of 40.43 meters (132 feet, 7 inches) in the javelin throw.
Moravian returns to action on Friday and Saturday, April 20th and 21st as they host the Greyhound Invitational.
