No. 25 Greyhounds Place Second at Osprey Open in Race of Top Regional Squads
GALLOWAY, N.J. --- The No. 25 Moravian University men’s cross country squad raced in their second meet of the 2025 season earning a second place finish of 16 schools including some of the top schools in the NCAA Division III Metro Region in the Stockton University Osprey Open at Stockton University Saturday morning.

How It Happened
- The Hounds, who are ranked first in the Metro Region, scored 44 points while The College of New Jersey, fifth in the region, finished first with 34 points. Rowan University, the second ranked squad in the region, placed third with 75 points
- Junior Gavin Hefferan paced the Greyhounds with a 3rd place finish among the 162 runners on the 8,000-meter course with a time of 25:10.87
- Graduate student Cole Frank finished 5th in 25:15.14 while junior Nate Moore placed 10th with a time of 25:29.82
- Senior Bryan Kerchner took 11th at 25:35.09 while junior Logan Betyeman was 15th in 25:50.92 to round out the Greyhounds' top five runners
- Freshman Braeden Knotts placed 24th in a time of 26:50.26 followed shortly by senior Joe Allegro, who finished 25th in 26:53.57
- Rounding out the Moravian competitors were sophomore Jake Mattes in 38th at 27:39.37, sophomore Riley Trigo at 41st in a time of 27:43.60, freshman Aiden Nieman in 46th in 28:00.86, freshman Jonathan Pajrowski at 53rd in 28:22.90, junior Adam Plummer in 55th at 28:24.53, freshman Nick DeGeronimo at 61st in 28:37.36, senior Jackson Gaffney in 66th with a time of 28:53.14, junior Michael Schippnick at 71st in 29:02.70, freshman Colin Wagner in 76th at 29:18.10, freshman Jared Petre at 106th in 31:25.23, junior Jackson Royds in 108th with a time of 31:33.08, and junior Jordan Gagner at 119th in 32:27.17
