ST. DAVIDS, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad played to a 1-1 draw at Eastern University in non-conference action Friday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute on the first shot of the match
- The Greyhounds countered just over a minute later on their first shot of the contest as freshman forward Anna Dunn put a shot into the lower left corner of the net off a pass from sophomore midfielder Casey Sabolsky
- Eastern nearly scored again in the 14th minute before a Moravian defender cleared a ball just before it crossed the goal line
- Neither squad was able to find the go-ahead goal over the last 80 minutes of action with Eastern finishing with a 17-2 advantage in shots including 8-2 on goal and an 11-3 edge in corner kicks
Inside the Numbers
- Dunn's goal was the first of her Moravian career
- Sabolsky earned her first career point with the assist
- Junior goalie Caitlyn Philips recorded six saves in the contest, and the Blue & Grey also had a team save
