In singles action, Kelly began the week with a 6-0, 6-2 win at sixth singles in a 5-2 win over Drew University, the Hounds first over the Rangers since 2016. He had a 6-0, 6-2 victory at fourth singles in a 6-1 triumph over Susquehanna University, and Kelly finished the week with a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles during Moravian's 6-1 victory over Juniata College.
"Joey had a terrific week, going a perfect 6-0 with three doubles and three singles wins across our conference matches," commented Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. He's playing some outstanding tennis right now, very focused and composed, and continues to make a big impact both on and off the court with his team-first mentality. This is a well-deserved recognition, and I'm really happy for him."
Moravian is scheduled to return action on Wednesday, April 22 in a Landmark Conference match at The University of Scranton beginning at 4:00 p.m. Moravian has clinched a berth in the 2026 Landmark Conference Tournament and can earn a First Round bye with a victory in either of its two matches this week.
