Greyhounds Clinch First Round Bye with Win at Scranton
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s tennis team clinched one of the top two seeds and a First Round bye in the 2026 Landmark Conference Tournament with a 6-1 victory over host The University of Scranton at the Birchwood Racquet Club Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds swept the doubles action to earn the doubles point and a 1-0 lead. Junior Gavin Labbadia and sophomore Roman Farhad opened the contest with a 6-3 triumph at second doubles while seniors Ryan Burke and Matthew Labosky clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at third doubles. Freshmen Cris Calfat Jabra and Enzo Guarda finished the sweep with a 6-3 victory at first doubles
- Sophomore Joey Kelly pushed the lead to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at fifth singles while Burke added a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at sixth singles. Guarda secured the winning team point with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at second singles before the Royals earned a win at first singles. Labbadia made it 5-1 with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph at third singles while Farhad finished the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win at fourth singles
- The victory secured one of the top two seeds in the 2026 Landmark Conference Tournament to send the Hounds to a Semifinal match at Hoffman Courts on Friday, May 1. Moravian will be making its fourth straight appearance in the conference semifinals
