Roman Farhad Honored on College Sports Communicators Men’s Tennis Academic All-District
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University sophomore Roman Farhad has been selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men’s Tennis Team for NCAA Division III schools.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University sophomore Roman Farhad has been selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Tennis Team for NCAA Division III schools.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that was in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition in 2025-26. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Wednesday, June 3 for men's tennis.
Farhad, a business major with a 3.77 GPA and a minor in business management, 15-4 mark in singles action, mainly at fourth and fifth singles this spring, and he was 18-9 in doubles action including 17-8 with junior Gavin Labbadia with an 11-7 mark at second doubles. Farhad, who helped the Greyhounds win their first-ever Landmark Conference Championship in 2026 and earn the program's first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance, was named to the 2026 Landmark Men's Tennis All-Conference Second Team in doubles with Labbadia.
Farhad has a 28-8 career mark in singles action, and he is 30-16 in doubles action in two seasons. Farhad has been on Moravian's Dean's Honors List every semester, the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll once and an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete.
