Moravian Extends Winning Streak to Five with Victory over Covenant to End Spring Break
KISSIMMEE, Fla. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis team won its fifth straight match, defeating Covenant (Ga.) College, 5-2, at Oak Street Park in Kissimmee Wednesday to finish off the Hounds’ Spring Break trip.

How It Happened
- The captured two of three doubles contests to earn the doubles point. The tandem of freshmen Kaelyn Balko and Natalia Smith had a 6-1 victory at second doubles while the duo of senior Izzy Szmodis and junior Leah Zolotareva added a 7-5 triumph at first doubles to secure the lead
- Szmodis made it 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles while Smith recorded a 6-1, 6-2 victory at third singles. Junior Sydney Shifman clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at fourth singles while Balko pushed the edge to 5-0 with a 6-2, 6-3 win at fifth singles. The Scots captured the final two matches at first and sixth singles
