Moravian Captures Fourth Landmark Conference Win at Wilkes
EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis team posted a 6-1 victory at Wilkes University in Landmark Conference action Thursday to move to 4-0 in conference play this season.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds captured all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Jenna Gower and freshman Kaelyn Balko opened the match with a 6-1 win at third doubles while junior Sydney Shifman and freshman Natalia Smith clinched the point with a 6-2 victory at second doubles. Senior Izzy Szmodis and junior Leah Zolotareva completed the sweep with a 7-5 triumph at first doubles
- The Blue & Grey won five of the six singles contests for the win. The Colonels briefly tied the match at 1-1 with a victory at first singles before Szmodis put the Hounds back ahead with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at second singles. Smith posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory at third singles while Balko earned the winning team point with a 6-1, 6-1 win at fifth singles. Shifman added a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fourth singles while Gower finished the contest with a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-4) triumph at sixth singles
