Zolotareva & Shifman Selected to College Sports Communicators Women’s Tennis Academic All-District
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University juniors Leah Zolotareva and Sydney Shifman have been selected on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team for NCAA Division III schools.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University juniors Leah Zolotareva and Sydney Shifman have been selected on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team for NCAA Division III schools.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that was in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition in 2025-26. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Tuesday, June 3 for women's tennis.
The duo helped the Greyhounds to an 18-4 record this season, the program's sixth Landmark Conference Championship and the team's fifth trip to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament that included a win in the First Round.
Zolotareva, an international management major with a 3.73 GPA, was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team in singles for the third straight year, and she was the 2025 Landmark Conference Player of the Year a year ago. Zolotareva registered a 10-7 record while playing first singles, and she had a 3-3 mark in the Landmark Conference regular season. Zolotareva was also selected to the Landmark All-Conference First Team in doubles for a second straight year with a 17-9 slate this season at first doubles with senior Izzy Szmodis. In three years, Zolotareva has a 37-19 mark in singles action and a 47-17 record in doubles play.
Zolotareva has been on Moravian's Dean's Honors List every semester and is an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete. Zolotareva is a repeat selection to the CSC Academic All-District squad, and she is a member of Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.
Shifman, a computer science and psychology dual major with a 3.93 GPA, was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in doubles with freshman Natalia Smith after the duo posted a 13-5 mark in doubles play including 5-0 in the Landmark Conference regular season and a 7-2 slate at second doubles. In her career, Shifman has a 48-9 singles mark including and 18-4 mark in 2025-26, and she is 44-17 in doubles action over the last three seasons.
Shifman has been on Moravian's Dean's Honors List every semester and is an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete. Shifman is a member of Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.
