Greyhounds Shutout Susquehanna on Senior Day
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis squad shutout visiting Susquehanna University, 7-0, in Landmark Conference action on Senior Day at Hoffman Tennis Courts Saturday.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds won all three doubles matches to garner the doubles point and a 1-0 edge. Senior Izzy Szmodis and junior Leah Zolotareva had a 6-0 win at first doubles while the duo of junior Sydney Shifman and freshman Madi Schottman posted a 6-1 triumph at second doubles to earn the point. The tandem of sophomore Jenna Gower and freshman Kaelyn Balko added a 6-3 victory at second doubles
- Balko opened singles with a quick 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles while Zolotareva made it 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at first singles. Shifman clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at second singles while freshman Fraukje van Baars won 6-1, 6-2 at fourth singles. Gower added a 6-3, 6-0 win at sixth singles while Schottman completed the contest with a 2-6, 7-6 (8-6), 1-0 (10-8) three-set triumph at fifth singles
- Prior to the match, Moravian honored senior Izzy Szmodis for her career with the Greyhounds that includes a school record 64 doubles victories
