Moravian Falls in Close Non-Conference Match with Stevens
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis team saw its six-match winning streak snapped with a 4-3 loss to visiting Stevens Institute of Technology in non-conference action at Hoffman Courts Sunday.

How It Happened
- The Ducks won the first two doubles matches to finish, clinching the doubles point and a 1-0 lead. The tandem of senior Izzy Szmodis and junior Leah Zolotareva posted a 7-5 victory at first doubles as Szmodis became the first player in program history to reach 60 career doubles wins
- Stevens also captured the first three singles matches to end with wins at second, fifth and sixth singles to clinch the match. The Greyhounds won the other three contests to get within a point at the end of the match. Freshman Natalia Smith posted a 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 victory at third singles while junior Sydney Shifman had a 7-5, 7-5 triumph at fourth singles. Zolotareva finished off the match with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win at first singles
