DeStefano Selected as Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior pitcher/right field Sarah DeStefano has been selected as the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior pitcher/right field Sarah DeStefano has been selected as the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.
DeStefano won her tenth game of the season in the circle with a 5-1 victory over Drew University in only action of the week for No. 23 Moravian. DeStefano, who earned her second Landmark Conference honor of the season, allowed an unearned run on four hits and two walks to go with seven strikeouts and two assists in the field.
"Sarah had another great start in the circle, battling through even without her best stuff," said Head Coach Josh Baltz. "It's been fun to watch her compete this year and see her throw each pitch with purpose. It's great to see her hard work recognized by the conference!"
The Hounds are slated to return to action on Tuesday, April 8 when the team travels to Elizabethtown College for a Landmark Conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
