TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior guard Porter Kelly has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Kelly netted a career best 32 points to go with eight rebounds, four assists and a career high five steals while hitting five three points to help the Greyhounds to a 120-118 double-overtime win at Immaculata University in the Greyhounds only action of the week. The 120 points scored by Moravian set the school record for a single game in program history.
"Porter is one of the hardest workers I've ever been around," commented Interim Head Coach Michael Mayes. "He's poured so much into this program over the past four years, constantly pushing himself and his teammates to get better. He's grown tremendously, not just as a player, but as a leader and a person. A lot of what Porter does, doesn't always show up in the box score. It's great to see him finally get the recognition he deserves. Nobody has earned it more."
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, November 19 in a Landmark Conference game at Elizabethtown College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
