How It Happened
- The Greyhounds started the scoring with a three-pointer from senior guard Chad Kratzer on the opening possession before the Colonels netted six straight points. Senior guard Porter Kelly and Kratzer sank back-to-back three-pointers to give the Blue & Grey a 9-6 edge. Wilkes countered with a 9-0 run to go up 17-9 at the 12-minute mark. Moravian closed the gap to two points at 23-21 on a three-pointer from senior forward Marquis Ratcliff with 8:38 to go in the first half
- The Hounds moved back on top, 28-27, on a jumper from sophomore guard Dylan Costa with 6:10 on the clock while the Colonels ran off seven consecutive points for a 34-28 edge. Moravian finished the first half with a 13-4 run including the final four points of the half from junior guard Joel Baez to take a 41-38 advantage into the intermission
- The Greyhounds opened the second half by extending the lead to five points at 49-44 on a three-point play from Kratzer with 16:47 to play. Kelly drained a three-pointer at 14:47 to put Moravian ahead 52-50 before Wilkes went on an 11-0 run to take the lead for good
- The Blue & Grey would get within six points at 61-55 midway through the half on a three-point play by freshmen forward Steve Conway, but that would be as close as Moravian would get the rest of the way
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had three players score in double figures led by Kratzer with 21 points to go with six rebounds and a pair of assists
- Ratcliff contributed 16 points and two rebounds while Kelly tossed in 11 points with four boards and two assists
- Costa netted seven points to go with three assists while Conway added six points
- Baez recorded four points and five rebounds while senior forward Liam Cummiskey posted four rebounds, three points and three assists
- Junior guard George Cutler registered three points while sophomore guard John Kelly had two points and junior guard/forward Riley Flood grabbed three boards
- The Hounds were 25-for-64 from the field, 12-for-32 on three-pointers and 11-of-12 at the foul line
