Ratcliff Selected as Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior forward Marquis Ratcliff of the Moravian University’s men’s basketball squad has been selected the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior forward Marquis Ratcliff of the Moravian University's men's basketball squad has been selected the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Ratcliff, who earned his second Sodexo Athlete of the Week honor in the last three weeks, averaged 25.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game while helping the Greyhounds to a 2-0 week to start the Landmark Conference season as Moravian improved to 4-0 for the first time since the 1974-74 season. Ratcliff shot 19-for-33 from the field (58%), 3-for-7 on three-pointers and 9-for-10 at the foul line to go with four assists and four blocked shots while playing 67 of 80 minutes. He had 19 points, 14 rebounds and a blocked shot in a 79-78 win at Elizabethtown College, and Ratcliff recorded 31 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots in a 93-91 victory versus Wilkes University. Ratcliff has a double-double in all four games this season and 31 total in his career.
The Greyhounds are slated to return to the court on Monday, November 24 in a non-conference game versus DeSales University tipping off at 8:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
The Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week is selected on Mondays by Moravian's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Sodexo will be giving each week's winner a free Starbucks drink at DeLight's Café.
